I have a ewe, Spot, who lambed early yesterday morning. We went out for breakfast and she had 2 little lambs, 1 ewe, and 1 ram. We tried to strip her teats to no success. Jon put her on her side and we saw evidence that she's got milk in one teat, a tiny drip of milk was there. Can she hold the milk from us and still allow the lambs to get it? I watched all day and kept feeling the lambs mouths and they were always warm. Then finally in the afternoon I saw them nursing. But it seems that they are only nursing on one side. Do I need to supplement their milk? Can she raise them successfully with one teat? Should I do anything about the other side?
