My ewes get the covexin-8 shot and hopefully the lambs get tetnus protection thru the colostrum. I band on day number three. The tail is still small and the lambs seems to suffer little discomfort. Testicles are banded between 10 days and three weeks depending on the development to the lamb. My sheep are crosses and some have long tails at birth. Of course a true barb would not have to be tail banded.
