As I said, Rick, please address all further communication either to me
privately or to one of the other BBSAI officers or directors. This listserv
is a forum for discussing Barbados Blackbelly and Barbado sheep and not for
discussing the specific issues of either of the U.S. registries. I opened
up these questions to the listserv to broaden my perspective so that I can
better represent ALL breeders as I advise other breeders and potential
breeders about the two breeds. This is my listserv and I get to do that
occasionally. We've had a great discussion; I don't want to annoy 250+
readers further by belaboring this issue; and I want it to go offline. Your
opinion has been heard...several times. I assure you that BBSAI
representatives who subscribe to this list have listened carefully to all
of the opinions offered during this discussion and the BBSAI WILL be making
some very beneficial changes. Whether or not they happen to be YOUR idea of
beneficial changes will have to be determined later. You clearly have some
strong feelings about the BBSAI and its officers, so I would encourage you
to join the association, pay your dues, and have an official vote.

Secondly, Carol, you've asked us to bring the naming topic to an end. That
discussion didn't begin with the registration debate. It started simply as
a look into a better way to have people understand what they were getting
when they got the blackbelly-type sheep. You probably remember my earlier
remark about how a number of BBSAI people didn't like the change. And, if
that is the case, then BBSAI will be of no help to us in our attempt to
make BENEFICIAL changes.
If we drop the discussion now, where do you suggest we go to continue the
attempt to try to get rid of the name "Barbado"?
