I used to regularly flip Zane (the ram whose greatest purpose in life, other than making babies, is to kill me). With a polled ram, since you can't grab horns, you have to lean down by his side and grab the two outside legs and push him onto his side, then crawl on top fast. However the duration of the respect he showed me after being flipped decreased over time (as did his respect for the cattle prod). So far, he still respects my border collie, but I never put the BC in a situation in which he might lose the argument. The border collie is the only reason I can continue to raise sheep by myself.

It's amazing how this changes their attitude.
