I need some advice on what could possibly be going
on with my lamb. She is a three month old orphan lamb. I got her one
month ago. When I got her she was weaned and a little small for her
age but I put her with another lamb I had and she perked up, ate very
well and started acting like my other lambs. She's been fine for about
three weeks. About a week ago I noticed she was acting sluggish and had
diahirrea. My vet gave me Albon (5cc for four days) and once she
started the Albon she started to act like her old self again. We finished
her Albon and yesterday morning she woke up and was fine, running around the
pasture, prancing to the side, she acted great. But around 6:00 p.m. her
mood changed. She quit eating and went and laid down in her manger. I thought
she was just tired, but she started acting very strange. She would get up
and stretch and lay back down. This went on for hours. She would stand and stare
at the walls of her manger. I got her to drink water. I gave her
Terramician and Vi-tal, which she drank right up but it was probably three hours
before she started acting like her old self again. This morning, the same
thing. She caming running out of her pin, hopping, jumping to the side, running
and eating. And around noon the same thing happened. It's almost 3:00 p.m. now
and she's still in her manger getting up and stretching and laying back down.
She's not interacting with the other lambs and I'm having to force her to drink
water. None of my other lambs have ever done this. She doesn't have
diahireea anymore. Does anyone have any idea of what could be wrong with
her or would I could do for her? I would appreciate any advice you could
give me. You all have always been so helpful and I really thank
you.
