I would think it would depend on what you're raising them for. 
If they're pets (as mine are) then bottle feeding tames them and forms the perfect 
bond. Although I haven't bred any, I do buy young bottle lambs.
If you're raising them for slaughter then your side of it may be something to think 
about.
Most people (perhaps more women? not sure) have a strong maternal instinct. It's hard 
to let a baby creature lay there and die knowing that you can 
save it.
