Hi! from TX! I have crossbred Dorper/St.Croix ram to my blackbellies. Got the most wonderful, meaty lambs. The lambs are being used to train my herding pups and work wonderfully. The Dorper calmed the blackbelly down a lot. Most turned out black and white. I have found that it is always best to vaccinate the weaning lambs with CDand T twice (2 to 3 weeks apart). I do not vaccinate after the initial 2 shots. Sometimes I vaccinate with a 7-way blackleg and tetanus because of the extra coverage when castrating or banding the weaning lambs.
