Every breed acts a little different. But if someone really likes to have
prolabs in sheep( it is easier to tell it this way):

Feed lots of grain and soft , young grass
as little excercise as possible
don't feed any coniferes ( as cedars or pine branches, they kill the
bacterias which lead to prolabs)
over feed livestock, get them fat.

As I mentioned before, I fed my ram flock this winter on very low
feedration, there was no income no money to spend out.So rams got fed every
second or third day.Very cold winter and harsh wind. A part of the flock
died, but we have had no other choice.

The surprising experience, and I still don't understand , by accident a
handfull of ewelambs have been in the group of rams and they gave birth to
better lambs than the ewe flock. The ewe flock was not very good fed, but
much better than the rams.

Look at the people in poor countries, those which
have just enought to do well, live long.
A little too low, and they have short livespan.
Too much food, doctors are needed to keep them up
with sheep it is similar.......
