Hi, we had hurricane Frances come thru and knock down tons of acorns last
week. One of our sheep apparently gorged herself on them and is now bloated and
constipated - very little feces being passed. We have shot mineral oil down
her throat a couple of times - maybe 1/2 a cup each time and we've done a warm
water enema, but she is still bloated and in pain. Does anyone have any
other ideas? I checked the merck manual and it really had no info on what to do
about this on ruminants, just horses. We are trying to keep her up and walking
around rather than laying down.

The odd thing is that she is still grazing to some degree, although I have
not seen her chewing her cud - she won't eat any grain at feeding time.

Thanks,
Onalee
