Hello Susan and James,
I am in Lapeer ('gateway to the Thumb'). We are moving to Silverwood
(about fifteen miles north of here, border of Lapeer/Tuscola Counties)
soon.
Good to know there are others in Michigan!
I am pretty new to sheep/goat keeping. My first sheep arrived in March
of last year (at two months old, and I finished off their bottle
raising) and my first goats in May or June. I now have the three sheep,
including the little Barbados wether, and five goats, with one more
coming after we move (all Nigerian Dwarfs except for one Nubian x
wether).
I struggle a bit with the differences between sheep and goats,
especially this little hair sheep! I am aware that sheep are much more
sensitive to 'too much copper'.
I am keeping them pretty much strictly as pets although I do plan to
milk my ND does.
Anything unusual about their upkeep anyone can tell me, I'd
appreciate!

Jill
