Hi all,

My name is Beth Stamper, from Powell Butte, OR located in the central
part of OR, near Bend, Redmond and Prineville. We are new to blackbelly
sheep and currently have only one young ram.

I found this pretty interesting because I intend to buy a couple of ewes
and turn them out on an acre with the ram but realize once I do this I
may not be able to get near them. I was actually thinking some Shetland
sheep or a pygmy goat might be useful to help them be a little less
skittish. What do you think?? Which would be better??

Thanks for any advice...I'm brand new to sheep but I used to have a
pygmy goatie.
