Hi all,
I just bought an elastrater and rings to castrate my twin boy BB's. Of course this thing didn't come with directions. I can see how I put the ring on the applicator and stretch it. I know that it goes around the scrotum.
Do you stretch it over and release the tension while the band is still on the applicator, or do you roll the band off the applicator? I don't see how I get the band off the applicator???
Those of you who have done this can you let me know how you do this?
I roll it off and it wasn't easy the 1st time I did it :-/
You put it on with the prongs *facing the animals body. They lay on their sides for about an hour afterwards and are in alot of pain. It broke my heart because mine are all bottle babies. But in in the end it's easier on them than going through surgery or some other method.
