Ahh, I see... I thought we were talking about existing external 
dependencies, not (possible) future ones ;)

Yes, you can.  From my style file:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~/src/blackbox% grep font `cat ~/.blackboxrc | grep 
styleFile | cut -f 2 -d:`
*font: Bitstream Vera Sans-9
menu.title.font: Bitstream Vera Sans-9:style=Bold
window.font: Bitstream Vera Sans-9:style=Bold

Of course, this style file won't work for someone that's not using Xft.
