I have Blackbox instaled on an older notebook. It takes it 40 seconds to start, that's a second or two less than Gnome 2.6. TWM starts in 15 seconds, I don't know what is BB doing for so long. I only have blackbox and bbkeys in .xinitrc.
What are your experiences? Is this normal?
blackbox has _never_ taken anywhere near that long for me, even on my older hardware.
what version of blackbox? what version of bbkeys? are you just doing 'startx' or are you running xdm or gdm/kdm/etc?
