Maybe you could patch bbpager to start your apps in a specific command by
running it through bbpager. I was thinking of something in the lines of:
bbpager --start-app xterm -w 2
Which would run in .xinitrc (or .xsession, as is being discussed).
This way bbpager would start the application and automagically move it to
workspace 2. I'm much better in giving ideas than in coding, though, and I
don't know if it would be easy to do this. :)
