now if you had bloody said "oh yeah, I use horizontal just to be different from what the developers use and guarantee finding weird shit they don't see" I would have known to check that case (-: Things are actually quite bad in horizontal mode it seems. The way the strut was defined was quite silly in retrospect and is now a lot more sane and generalized. Don't know why I did not notice this the last time I was in there fixing pixel offsets. Oh well.
