I think I agree. If you wanted to teach others about what the sed does,
you could take the time to explain it, or suggest that the user look at
the file before hand and then after to see the changes made (or make a
backup and diff the changed file.)
If your point is to teach new sed tricks, I think its well worth it to
teach them how to do it accurately, but also as efficiently as possible.
