The configure instructions for kdelib-3.5.2 have the option "--enable-fast-malloc=full" to use an optimized memory scheme for kde.
This memory scheme in combination with glib>=2.9.1 cause gslice errors in the knotify part of kdelibs causing arts to malfunction.
Removing the malloc switch causes knotify to work correctly.
So I propose to remove this switch from the compile instructions
