Good thought. I'm quite certain that the next version of BLFS will include GnuCash < version 2.0 in which case most of GNOME-1.4 libs are required. A simple sentence on the GnuCash page saying such is probably prudent. And just for the record, and in case Gerard reads this, following the GnuCash dependency tree installs almost all, if not all, of the listed GNOME-1.4 apps in the BLFS Book. A sentence mentioning that a GnuCash installation is a significant endeavor, that installs many old obsolete libraries is prudent. Though because those libraries are installed in /opt/gnome-1.4 it isn't a big deal. All moot, however, when GnuCash goes to 2.0. However, I'm inclined to not put it in the book until after the next release, even if it came out tomorrow, as GnuCash is a package that you need to rely on to be right, or bad financial things could become you.
