It will be soon. I will be attempting to contact the individual BLFS
Editors to see what they would like to contribute in the next 5 weeks.
Their replies (and don't wait for me to contact you if you read this),
should be posted here so that the community can see what is slated for
completion, and what is not. This way, suggestions and contributions
from non-Editor community members won't conflict with previously
stated goals from others. As always, check out the Trac Bug database
to see what is already in queue and who may be working on it:
Notes:
1). I would like to see the D-BUS/Hal updates real soon. They are
required now for several packages, and I had no luck building the new
versions.
2). We need a firm decision on the gtk+-2.8.x/gnome-2.14.x or
gtk-2.10.x/gnome-2.16.0. I vote for update, the new versions are solid
here for gtk+apps including firefox etc.
I could possibly do:
1912: Doxygen-1.4.6 compilation, fixed with 1.4.7, see ticket 2039.
1961: Lynx configuration options, I would just use Alexander's suggestions!
2036: ImageMagick-6.2.9-5, seems okay, version will likely change!
2039: Doxygen-1.4.7, seems okay.
2041: cURL-7.15.5, don't use, but could test.
2042: Links-2.1pre23, don't use, but could test.
2056: PostgreSQL-8.1.4, I used to dabble SQL, could test somewhat.
2059: LessTif-0.95.0, don't use, but could test.
2063: Balsa-2.3.13, hate to mess up my mail, but could test.
2080: AbiWord-2.4.5, lots of plugins :(
2083: Xine Libraries-1.1.2, seems okay.
2110: LPRng does not compile with recent make/gcc, 2 seds will work.
2112: ALSA 1.0.12, seems okay, lots of tools & firmware that I cannot
test, but who can.
2127: ruby-1.8.5, seems okay.
2150: Firefox-1.5.0.7, seems okay.
2151: Thunderbird-1.5.0.7, hate to mess up my mail, but could test.
maybe also:
2060: kde-3.5.4, I downloaded xdeltas, so my md5sums are wrong.
Aside, maybe we should add xdelta.
no ticket yet: gnome-2.16.0, 2.14.3 will not build with gtk+-2.10.x.
2.16.0 runs though my scripts okay, but the packages more attention
than that.
It would add 1 package and 1 perl module.
no tickets yet:
Python-2.5
Cdrao-1.2.2, I could do.
