Hi all,

Does anyone know the procedure how Anduin syncs up the package sources
to what is specified in the SVN version of BLFS?

Unless I'm mistaken, this is an automatic procedure set up by Justin,
and Justin is the *only* person in the world that knows anything about
it, or can *do* anything about it.

This is a severe handicap. The BLFS Editors used to do it, but this
was transferred over to Justin a long time ago. Now we are right back
where we were, except there is no way to control the operation, nor
even a way to figure out what is *supposed* to be happening.

It seems I read not too long ago that Justin was having rsync problems,
but I don't know if that was due to the poor performance of Belgarath,
or the transition to Quantum. Either way, it appears there is no
effort at all to fix the issue.

In fact, is there anyone that knows exactly who all can admin Quantum?
Don't say Gerard, because (with all due respect) I don't feel Gerard
is even a contributing member of the community any longer. Best I can
recall, Gerard hasn't made a meaningful commit to the project (nor
contributed meaningfully to any discussion, other than the progress
of the new server) since I can remember.

Sorry for the rambling, but BLFS now has prominent places in the book
where it is said you can get current packages from Anduin. But this
is no longer the case. And right now I'd like to get BLFS-6.2.0 out
the door soon. The last thing I want is to release a book, then find
out that several of the package versions in the book cannot be
downloaded.

Any information, help or ideas on how to fix this issue would be
appreciated.
