iced-tea-web is not IcedTea, but is dependent on IcedTea. It is a set of applets for browser use. It's been updated to version 1.2 from version 1.0.1 that is in the book. avifile has not been updated from what is in the book. Last update was 2006. I don't know if it's useful any more or not.
