After upgrading to MySQL 5.6.11, I am unable to start the akonadi server with
the mysql backend (the sqlite backend still works). Amarok works perfectly.
Recompiling akonadi did not solve the problem.

Can anyone confirm this?

I noticed this in the output from "akonadictl start":
...
stderr: "2013-04-27 21:43:25 0 [Warning] TIMESTAMP with implicit DEFAULT value
is deprecated. Please use --explicit_defaults_for_timestamp server option (see
documentation for more details).
...

This seems like a warning, though, and not an error.
