Just a note of some developments in my issue with the keymap choice always showing USA with an American flag :
1. If I select the dropdown with the mouse (only USA is visible) and then hit any key, it changes to gb with a British flag (actually, two identical instances). The keyboard then sort-of works in sddm - if the theme has a login button, I can key my password and login. But if the theme does not have a login button (i.e. needs enter, like the default theme) the main enter key seems to be treated as another character, but the numeric keypad enter key works. 2. Not all themes offer the option to change the keyboard. I realised that after hacking on the archlinux theme (just gave it my own background.jpg) - no choice of keyboard, so no problem. Thinking about this, unless you have a multi-seat machine then on almost every occasion only one keyboard is connected, so choosing the keymap for the sddm greeter does not make a lot of sense to me. I'll take a look at trying to create my own theme. This may take some time, I really do not understand any of this at the moment. ĸen -- This one goes up to eleven! -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
