The ArchLinux instructions for configuring LXDM include how to setup
the startup service. Essentially an example service file is in the
distribution and just needs to be moved to the correct location and
enabled.

I have used these instructions successfully for the LFS 7.8, 7.9 and
the 7.10 developement version before it became official. I build the
XFCE desktop and use LXDM as my desktop.
