Yes, the program Libxml2 builds that requires the glob.h file is a program only built to run the regression tests on non-Linux machines. The program is not installed on any platform and not even needed on Linux. > Did I screw up the Heimdal install? I would be more worried about the fact that Heimdal overwrote the glob.h file from the Glibc installation.
