hi,

  'm' to unmute each muted control, then change the volumes. If you
really cannot alter the volume sliders, you possibly have the wrong
driver in the kernel.

with "m" I control some switch OK;
MASTER is ON but fix to zero
and aplay run OK but no sounds

Well, if you can unmute the master volume, but cannot increase it from zero, that certainly sounds as if the driver doesn't think it can drive your soundcard. Earlier, you said you had this working in a different distro - which kernel version was used, which sound driver module, what does lspci say about your soundcard, plus which kernel are you using in your LFS system, and what does the config (just the relevant part of /proc/config.gz, for preference) say about the sound drivers ?
