David, I'm sorry I don't have a solution for you, but I don't think
there's an easy one.  I think it's just that KDE coding standards aren't
compatible with your newer bison/flex.  It's just the old problem of
finding versions that "play well together".  I'm having a similar problem
with LFS-6.1.1.  You're trying to run at the front of the pack, and I'm
trying to run way further back.

Because I'm compiling for an old P1-233MMX, I'm trying to limit the
overhead, creeping featuritis, and code bloat of some newer packages.  I
tried to compile LFS-4.1's kdelibs-3.1with GCC-3.4.3 and the new compiler
just doesn't allow some of the syntax that worked with GCC-3.2.1.  So,
FBBG, I guess if I want KDE I'll have to try KDE-3.4, though I fear that
will just bog-down my old CPU.
