Thanks Dan, but Totem needs too much GROAN for me :-) I like my apps

I remembered that later. :-) One thing I will say is that the
xine-lib backend is very nice. It seems to have higher quality than
mplayer, for me. So, if you want to try out xine without all the
totem stuff, I believe gxine (frontend) comes with a Mozilla plugin.
However, gxine is gtk based, so I don't know how much GROAN you'd have
to wade into. Well, I just browsed configure.ac, and it looks like
gtk2 is the most you'd need. I have no idea how well the Mozilla
plugin works, though.
