That did the trick ! Only installing the new version of OpenSSL solved
the problems. Now I'm going to recompile the last versions of APR, NEON
and SUBVERSION to test the whole thing, but the vegastrike source code is
now on my HD :-)

One thing to mention : the patch from OpenSSL 0.9.8e for manpages worked
for the 0.9.8g version, and installing the new version over the previous
one only added a few certs (and of course overloaded the libraries).

PS : for reference : my processor is an Athlon XP 2800, Gcc is 4.2 and
Glibc 2.7.0, Linux kernel is 2.6.23.9.
