Hi, I'm going through the stable BLFS book, and I just installed kdelibs and kdebase 3.5.9. I also configured my xinitrc file to start kde automatically upon typing startx. When I type startx, it went through the KDE personalization wizard, then said, "initializing devices ... kde is up and running." However, the only thing that appears is a mouse cursor on a blank, black background without anything else showing. I wonder what I did wrong because the X server worked with its default twm, and KDE is the only other windows manager I've installed. I outputted the text of what happens after I type startx for you to examine. I'm a newbie at LFS, but I'm learning little by little.
