Indeed. To my surprise, I'm running it under icewm. AFAIK I never added it to .xinitrc on this box (previous test was on the other box), and audio in this build wasn't working until after I'd used gnome. What I don't see is how I'm starting it - hmm, syslog shows it's being invoked by gnome-session! Checked .xinitrc, that isn't invoked (for icewm) as far as I can see. I reworked my .xinitrc so that I could have a choice of wm without going in and commenting / uncommenting blocks of shell code each time. I would expect gnome-session to give me metacity and the gnome wallpaper, but I have neither, just my normal icewm desktop. Oh well, added to my own bug-list, but for the moment it's 'not' broken so I'm not spending time trying to fix it ;-) Actually, if I can debug this once I've got the main gnome-3 stuff out of the way, I'll maybe be able to do more pulse testing on this build. ĸen -- das eine Mal als Tragödie, das andere Mal als Farce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
