my mail is coming back to normal. After a lot of fiddling   I managed to  get 
kmail working with the microsoftised-btconnect just now.  I downloaded mail 
gummed up since  last autumn. And  I have attempted to resubscribe to clfs 
though I do not know if I was unsubscribed,( so  I  sent an email also )   but 
so far no reply
