I have re-installed flash from scratch. No change. Still non-functioning.

I rebuilt webkit overnight - but I did not really expect any change since
I have used the same options. I cannot expect webkit to behave differently
unless I do something different at the configure stage - but the options
selected all look sensible to me.

I have also run all the tests in webkit's unittests directory - including
the plugins test - all work ok.

(I have also removed uzbl for now - and am just testing with GtkLauncher
since this is webkit's test platform).

I am running out of ideas. I hate to leave the problem unresolved - but I
fear I will just have to resort to using a windows machine...
