I haven't, but neither can I take the credit for it.  There's a patch here
https://gist.github.com/the8lack8ox/2706705 but, as it depends on the
kernel version as to whether it applies or not, I find it easier to hack
the file directly.  It's only a couple of lines or so, but it allows me to
boot directly into a Btrfs raid 1 rootfs from a USB flash drive.
