In X I've always used the capability to switch screen resolution modes on-the-fly with CTL-ALT-KP(+/-). With my latest build, trying FBs and the Nouveau driver for the first time, I've lost that. I haven't discovered if I can configure KMS & the Nouveau driver to get it back, but I do get it with the VESA driver. So, I have two questions:
1) Can KMS/Nouveau be configured to allow mode switching in X, if so how? 2) Performance isn't a real issue for me so far. What would I sacrifice going to the VESA driver instead of Nouveau? TIA, as always. -- Paul Rogers paulgrog...@fastmail.fm Rogers' Second Law: "Everything you do communicates." (I do not personally endorse any additions after this line.
