Hallo,
I suppose the question is: what input drivers do you think you have enabled in xorg (evdev or libinput) ? Please note that the old keyboard and mouse drivers no longer work on linux (you mentioned BLFS-7.7 in the other thread, where I think those were perhaps used).
I remember having read somewhere that Xorg should work without any explicit configuration unlike the former xf86 graphical environment.
I have now compiled everything from BLFS that smells like "input" (but leaving out VMware, Wacom etc. stuff which I don't own) and I'll retry again.
Also after getting the input to work, I suggest using one of the base window managers (fluxbox, icewm, openbox, or sawfish) instead of twm.
yes, I intend to do that eventually, but twm seemed like a good testbed for my first (GUI) time ;)
Thanks for the suggestions. Tschau...Thomas -- "Do you wanna be a legend or a passing footprint on the sands of time?" -- http://lists.linuxfromscratch.org/listinfo/blfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
