In the instructions
(http://linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/stable-systemd/postlfs/p11-kit.html), in
the section 'Configuring p11-kit' instructions are given in order to create a
symlink to use the p11-kit trust module as a replacement for libnssckbi. The
same symlink is explained on the NSS instructions (which I have not installed).
Please clarify: does this apply for systems (i) which have NSS installed, (ii)
which don't have NSS installed, or (iii) either way, independent on whether or
not NSS is installed?
Thanks a lot,

Hi Hans,

As far as I know, these instructions only apply to systems that have NSS
installed. You should be OK to continue without that symlink - although if/when
you install NSS, you may want to use that symlink to allow NSS-aware
applications to have additional access to certificates.

Thanks a lot for this explanation! That makes perfect sense. The fact that this
link is created in both p11-kit and NSS is just because people may install the
packages in different order.
