Good Morning, I have moved by personal documentation from Docbook 4.5 to 5.1. The main reason being the much better support in emacs for editing docbook with version 5 as it can use the real Relax NG definition for this version.
I do have a question on the Docbook 5.1 page in the book./usr/share/xml/docbook/schema/dtd/5.1/catalog.xml In the second box the catalog file /etc/xml/docbook-5.1 is created. However nothing is done with it. I followed the book and did nothing with it either and it works. So the question is is this catalog really needed ? Then in the fourth box the first three entries added to the system catalog refer to /usr/share/xml/docbook/schema/dtd/5.1/catalog.xml which does not exist. It did exist in 5.0, so I assume this was just copied from there. My xsl customization layer works with 5.1 using the nons stylesheets, but to take advantage of the namespace support in 5.1 I moved to the ns version. Migrating turned out to be quite easy with a little help from DocBook XSL: The Complete Guide (http://www.sagehill.net/docbookxsl/index.html) ================================================= Maurice van der Stee
