Hello, With gnome comes the screencast ability for recording screen sessions. This can be activated by Ctrl-Shift-Alt-R.
It used to work out of the box with the install as described in the book. Sometime, I'm not sure with what update, it stopped working. Google is not of much help here. Looking at fedora I found that adding the cmake options -Dgstreamer=enabled -Dsystemd=enabled -Dgstreamer-device- provider=disabled and enabling the then provided systemd user services pipewire and pipewire-media-session got it working again after a reboot. As it is a usefull feature I think it might be worth adding to the book. -- ================================================= Maurice van der Stee
