Hi everyone, I am going to replace my Norton internet security 2006 with AVG
free. As I understand it, AVG does not have its own firewall. David has told me
that he has some firewall programs available on his site. I am wondering
though, is it possible for me to use AVG and also keep Norton's firewall? I
know you shouldn't have to anti virus programs on your system at the same time.
I was wondering though, could I just turn off all the antivirus features of
Norton, but still keep only its firewall turned on? Or would that just be
asking for trouble? Is a firewall really needed? I do not do any online banking
etc. I do like it when Norton alerts me to when a program is attempting to
access the net and lets me choose whether to allow it or not. I take it, this
is the firewall at work am I right? From what I understand, the Windows
firewall is not very good, is this correct?
thanks a lot Jason
