I was wondering though, could I just turn off all the > antivirus features of Norton, but still keep only its firewall turned on? I don't see why you couldn't. Or would that just be asking for trouble? Is a firewall really needed? I do not do any online banking etc. yes definitely a requirement with todays viruses as distructive as they are. I should know, I got a worm on my system just from downloading music from winmx. It was a trojan horse level 5 virus. >From what I understand, the Windows firewall is not very good, is this correct? I use it and it's fine now that I don't download music or any of that. My problem with Norton stuff is yes it's really top-of-the-line but it's slow as anything and it slows your computer down considerably.
