Hi Mich,

Have you tried, as someone suggested, running a scan disk on the drive, with 
a thorough scan?

You can get this option by highlighting the drive, then pressing the 
applications key and arrow up to properties.

In the properties dialog box, control+tab to the utilities page, and tab to 
the scan disk button.

Make sure you highlight the radio button that says perform a thorough scan, 
including scanning the disk surface for any possible damage.  Once it's 
done, write back and let us know what you find.

It might be possible to salvage what is in the corrupt folder, but no 
promises.
