Hi Lisa John R. here
The only way to get the window up when AVG is scanning is to do the
following:

1. go to the system tray. Incert f11. incert is the jaws key.
2. arrow around until you hear complete test.
3. press enter on that option.
4. one of two things then could happen,
1a. a menu could come up and you choose open from it,
1b. it could just open the scan window.
5. now you are in the window I don't think there is any way to read the info
apart from putting jaws from highlight to say all. you do this by.
jaws key S. this is, incert S.
the options are. default, highlighted, this reads everything you land on
but not everything that moves on the screan.
all: this reads everything on the screan that is changing this also could
include the time and date field at the top.
none: this stops jaws reading anything you are aiming to read and it's a
toggle so incert S. jaws key S. moves through the different options each
time you do it the options change but you will always cycle through the same
3 options

Subject: [Blind-Computing] question about AVG free

Hello everyone,
When AVG free is scanning my computer there is no open window for it. When
I alt tab through the windows AVG free is not there. I checked AVG, and it
did do the scan today, but if I'm on my computer while it's scanning there
is no window for it. Is this normal, and is this the way that AVG free
should run? I hope I have explained this well enough for you all to
understand my question. I have jaws 8, and I am running windows XP home
edition. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
Take care,
Lisa
