Hi Mich, There are at least 3 fans in that case, cpu,power supply and exhaust. One of these is causing the noise no doubt, you will have to find out which one, and just replace it. A replacement fan is very inexpensive, compared to the damage an over-heated system will suffer. If the techs that work on your machine can't determine the problem, it's time to look for a replacement for them as well as the fan. HTH, Richard Q.
