Usually your ISP will have a user configured feature to deal with SPAM.
Unfortunately this software is not necessarily effective.  When I had SPAM
Filtering enabled with my ISP I was getting most, if not all, messages from
the varying mailing lists marked as SPAM.  Had I opted to have all SPAM
deleted I'd have never known about the problem but I luckily had the feature
configured to only mark those messages as SPAM (in the subject line).
