Hi Erin, Kathy and list,
I personally think that a dual core processor 
still wins.  As Erin and others mentioned, 
any single core processors above 2 GHz is 
fine - in dual core scenarios, I heard that 
processors as slow as 1.4 or 1.6 GHz works 
with Vista as well.
