Debbie, I don't have a solution for you, but I believe that XP is notorious
for not working properly when it comes out of standby mode.
Cheers.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] No sound after stand by.

Hi:

Using WinXP Pro, JAWS 9 and WE 6.1 I recently did a scan disk and defrag.
Before, after I put the computer in stand by everything came back normal.
Now after going out of stand by I have no sounds at all. This includes
narrator as well as any other sound scheme in windows. Does anyone know what
I could try? Thanks, Deb.
