Start menu, Settings, Control panel, Administrative tools, Event viewer, and 
then explore the tree structure on the left where system will most likely be 
the one you want, and then you can tab over to the listing on the right.

There, they'll most likely be sorted in ascending order as per default, so 
go down to the bottom of the list view and look for 'error' events, hit 
enter on one of them, and it'll get you into a detail dialogue where you can 
tab around to find out the source etc., but Alt + D will take you to the 
description read-only edit field.
