That page is very accessible for me using IE 7! But I had tried to get other Java sites to work without much luck. For example, the Java speed test at dslreports.com, just seems to be written without the accessible swing class libraries. This means there is nothing for the end user to do, except complain to the webmaster. This official time government page seems to be a great test to check if your Java is installed and functioning correctly! In fact, I could not tell the difference between the page with the Java enabled or disabled.
I have the latest version of the Java Access Bridge 2.0.1 installed. I had also installed a beta version of the Java SE VM version 6 update 10 beta. I am not sure how Sun went from 6 update 6 to a 6 update 10 beta! But it seems to be working. I tried to go to this same page in Firefox 3.0.1 with Java 6 update 7 preinstalled and JAWS completely stopped talking after clicking on Eastern zone. JAWS did not come back until I could finally manage to close the Firefox window. I will have to investigate this matter further! Maybe the version of the Java SE runtime you are using makes a difference.
